FXS extensions status

  1. 13 years ago

    Good day!
    I use digium AEX2432E card, elastix 2.2.rc3 and FOP2 v2-2.25.

And I can't look at status of FXS extensions on fop2 panel. I understand that I can't see if FXS device is switched off/on from port, but I mean to see calls of FXS extensions.
I configured FXS as ZAP or DUHDI devices, but without result. They works but I can't see their statuses.

But I see FXS-extensions activity (some notes about calls) on trunks panel only (on any of DUHDI trunk - FXO lines). On last trunk usually. No any activity on extensions panel for FXS (only SIP).

How I can configure FXS device to see their status?

PS I have many other questions about fop2, for example:

    • I stand up on any(!) extension and click on "dial" button, but call go to my extension only.
    • I can't listen extensions

    But these questions waits...

    Thank you.
    Andrew.

If you see a FXS channel in the trunk button, then the configuration for your trunk buttons is wrong or including the fxs channel numbers in the fxo numbers in the fop2 buttons page.

How do you configure your buttons? If in the fop2 button configuration you have

    [DADHI/1]
    type=extension
    ...

It will show in the extensions pane and it will display activity for DAHDI channel 1. So, just check HOW do you have the fxs buttons configured, and see if fop2 configuration is picking them up correctly, if not, then you might need to specify the fxs buttons manually. If you have a trunk button that includes the fxs channel number , you will have colliding configs, one channel matching two buttons, in that case the later will "win". So be sure NOT to include the channel numbers for fxs ports in your trunk button configuration.

PS I have many other questions about fop2, for example:
    - I stand up on any(!) extension and click on "dial" button, but call go to my extension only.

That is normal. It will always dial YOUR extension FIRST, when you pickup, it will dial the other party.

    - I can't listen extensions
    But these questions waits...

Most probably you do not have sufficient permissions in /etc/asterisk/manager.conf, add "all" both to read/write, reload asterisk, reload fop2, and try again.

    Best regards,

    I used autoconfig-buttons-freepbx.sh script
I have written channel numbers on trunks (for example 10), not channels range (10-20). I wrote 10-10, and now I have correct DUHDI numbers from this auto-script.
FXS Extensions works now too. But I had to reload server to force them works (I had correct configs already).
In any case you explained me how config must be viewed and I was sure what I did. Thank you!

FOP2 "dial" works too (again after you explain details to me).

P.S. I didn't try "listen" yet, will try later

Thank you once more! Great product!
