FOP2 not showing any trunk events events and no IP showing?

  1. 12 years ago

    Hi,

I have FOP2 up and running sort of... A user with 'all' access can log in to the WEB panel and all the buttons show up but the panel doesn't show any events on the trunk. There is no indication of a trunk being used when someone calls in or out. I enabled call events for the SIP extensions and Queues but I can't find anything in the FreePBX admin to do the same for trunks (if I am supposed to do something).

Also I enabled show IP address but nothing shows up. The actions that do happen seem to persist for quite a while after a call has been terminated. Is there a place to change the update interval like there was for the old FOP?

    Thanks

The update is instant, there is no refresh at all. What asterisk version are you using? I recommend to setup the asterisk manager as described in this blog post, but is good only for recent asterisk versions:

    http://www.fop2.com/blog/make-fop2-snap ... ventfilter

An improperly configured asterisk manager can lead to disconnections and improper states on the panel itself.

Regarding the trunks, you will see activity if the trunk channel name in the button configuration matches the channel name that asterisk reports. You are not saying what kind of trunk are you using.. is it DAHDI? SIP? IAX2?

If its DAHDI, you must configure the channel number range in the fop2 buttons page in freepbx fop2admin, like 1-30.

If its SIP, more often than not trunks are incorrectly configured, or have two different peers to differentiate inbound from outbound. The default channel name that is picked by fop2 (as is that the one it is setup in freepbx), is the outbound name. If inbound<>outbound, you will have to add the inbound device name in the channel field in the fop2 buttons page. Or you can configure your peers so both inbound/outbound matches just one peer.

And it is very important that you have a properly configured /etc/asterisk/manager.conf, because if you are missing events, not only trunks will act weird but all of the features in the panel will.

    Best regards,

  3. Hi,

I didn't know that i had to configure dahdi channel number ranges in the fop2 buttons page, once I did that it worked. The only I don't have working now is the 'show ip numbers', is that feature no longer available?

    Thanks

The ip address are displayed on sip peers when you mouse over the button label.

  5. You mentioned,

If its DAHDI, you must configure the channel number range in the fop2 buttons page in freepbx fop2admin, like 1-30

    .

Is this in the Channel box or in the Originate Channel box?

    Thanks!

None of them, are you talking about trunks> The field says:

    Zap/Dahdi Channels (Eg: 1-24)

rigth next to the privacy select field

  7. Yes. I was talking about trunks. Sorry, I was new to the interface so I got the channels and trunks mixed up. I'll give it a go tomorrow.

  8. I'm a little confused again.

You said a range goes in the channel spots?

Here is my situation. I have 3 trunks. Lets call them ZAP/21, ZAP/22, and ZAP/23. They happen to be on channel 21, 22, and 23 (or pinned out as such on my Digium TDM2400P as Port 21, 22, and 23)

Does each one get their own channel number? IE: OUT_2, Labeled:ZAP/23, Privacy:None, Zap/Dahdi Channels (Eg: 1-24): 23

If you have individual channels , then there is no need to set a range, you could use a same number fake range, like 23-23 and see if that makes a difference.
