I'm using FOP2 2.26, and my user is set with permission: ALL.
I cannot pause users!
(I have the option, but when I click it, nothing happens)

How did you configure buttons? automatic or manual? Perhaps you configured manually and you are pausing an incorrect member? I cannot tell just by your post.

The buttons are o, and the member is correct.
the problem is, that when I click PAUSE the member is not immediately paused, and it might take a few long minutes until it (which is not always visible in FOP2) -
what does "the buttons are o" mean?
You can start fop2 in debug mode and inspect the ami command and its response. The command is sent as soon as it is received.
