It's a nice idea. Unfortunately, ring groups are just a logic in a dialplan, it is not a device and it does not trigger special events in the Asterisk dialplan. As FOP2 just monitors asterisk events, it does not know anything about a ring group, nor memberships, nor states. The buttons were added by user request, as placeholders/target for transferring to, not to monitor state/status, as it cannot be done in standard asterisk.

It might be possible to hack something up, but it will require massive patches to freepbx/dialplan, and we are not going that route because it is not really worth it. We will focus on standard asterisk features, not on feature/hacks.
