Simple question.
When I receive a call on the extension I have logged in with in FOP2, how do I pick it up from the panel without using the phone or softclient itself?
I figured the CallPickup icon should do that, but when I press it, nothing happens.
Can you advise?
You cannot answer a call from FOP2, you have to do it with your phone. FOP2 can send control commands to the PBX, not to your phone. There is no way in Asterisk to trigger an 'answer' option in your phone.

How and when is the CallPickup icon used then?
When *another* extension is ringing, and you want to bring that ringing call to your own. Then you can answer from your own phone. Same as dialing *8 directly with the handset in a standard Asterisk setup.
