FOP2 has stopped working

    I restarted my server today, and when it booted back up, it would freeze every time at FOP2 during boot up. I finally got it to boot by using the interactive startup and skipping FOP2 so our phones are back up now.

    Trying to figure out what has changed. I tried the fop2_server --test, but everything I do, just seems to hang. What can I do to see why its hanging? I upgraded to the new version about a month ago, and have restarted it since. I am using a Trixbox CE system.

    I love the service by the way. Thanks for keeping it up, the upgrade was really nice.

    Hi,

    I am sorry you had trouble. You might want to try by removing the /tmp/par-root directory and then try fop2_server again. You could also add a line like "rm -rf /tmp/par-root" to the fop2 init script in /etc/rc.d/init.d/fop2 just before starting the daemon.

    Sometimes that directory gets corrupted, not sure why, and prevents fop2 from starting.
