Cool, thank you, that did the trick.

I tried to keep the information posted vague enough, while still providing enough detail, to get a fix in...

    Once more, thank you!

jasona.work started the conversation FOP2 ignoring license?.

Over this weekend, we had some issues with our power, causing some problems with our Asterisk server. Now our FOP2 is coming up only in "demo" mode, ignoring the full license we have for v2.20

I've tried to do an fop2_server --reactivate, --revoke, and --register, none of which have helped.

    • -revoke complains that the "Serial code not available for revokation on this machine!"
    • -reactivate simply gives "Reactivation failed! (ERROR)"
    • -register gives a "Serial code not available for registration!"

Any help in resolving this would be appreciated. We did upgrade from FOPv2.11. We also purchased the upgrade to include the Voicemail Explorer and IM Chat functions. I'd like to avoid re-installing FOP if possible.

Also, and this may make a difference, we have an Astribank device connected to our Asterisk server. Due to some problems with this device, it is currently not "installed" anymore, but was when FOP2 was first installed.

    Thank you,
    Jason A.

jasona.work started the conversation Parked calls 'disappear' from list, but are still parked.

We have had an rather annoying, but not show stopping, issue with FOP2. Sometimes, calls which are parked "disappear" from the parked call list in FOP2. The call is still parked, and can be picked up by dialing the appropriate parking extension, but FOP2 does not show the call. Also, sometimes calls which were parked, do not clear from the park slots list when they are picked up, until you refresh your browser.

We are using the built-in Asterisk blind transfer to put calls in the parking lot (#1)
We are using an Asterisk system installed from source, our versions for Asterisk and FOP2 are:
    Asterisk 1.6.2.14
    FOP2 2.11

Thankfully, this is the only issue we are having, and any assistance in resolving this would be appreciated.

jasona.work started the conversation Using Line 2 area to display 'extended' status info?.

We currently have FOP2 and Asterisk 1.6. One of the managers, would like for us to be able to see, on the FOP2, the status of the user, to display what the user might be working on.

For example, he would like for a user to select the "Other" option, enter a brief description of the task (project name / code), and have the description display in the space currently occupied by Line 2.

We currently only use 1 line on the phones, so losing the Line 2 status would not be an issue.

    Is this possible?
Any suggestions on making it work?

    Thank you,

    OK, thank you!

I'm not putting a lot of sweat into this, as even my bosses aren't concerned about doing this, it was just a "neat" idea.

    Thank you again!

jasona.work started the conversation FOP2 button color codes?.

We are using FOP2.11, and would like to change the color of a button for a person who is on a call from one of our Queues. I am presuming we simply need to change the background:# in operator.css.

My question is, are these just the standard HTML hexadecimal color codes?

    Thank you,

jasona.work posted in Some odd FOP2 and Asterisk issues.

    1. When a call is made out, it initially shows the number dialed, then only displays "s"

You are probably using a macro for dialing out. You can craft the macro in a way so fop2 picks the right number after dial. Unfortunately I do not have a recipe to do it.

Great! That's sort of what I was expecting to hear, I'll start hunting around to see what I can do to resolve this.

    2. We have set up contexts within FOP2 for various departments. The additional contexts do not display the options at the top to dial, transfer, pickup, etc; what could cause this, and how could we fix this?

Be sure that in that context you are logged as an extension that is ALSO listed in the buttons.cfg file. If you login as an extension that is not found in the extension list for that context, fop2 will be unable to map it to a device in order to be able to perform actions, and it will hide the toolbar.

Which explains this. I set up a generic "user" to log in, that doesn't exist anywhere in the Asterisk system.

    Thank you!

jasona.work started the conversation Some odd FOP2 and Asterisk issues.

We've begun setting up an Asterisk system from source, and recently just setup our copy of FOP2 on this. We are not using any GUI front ends for the Asterisk, so all the FOP2 cfgs have to be hand edited.

That being said, here are the two issues so far I have been made aware of, in how FOP2 displays things.

    1. When a call is made out, it initially shows the number dialed, then only displays "s"

Never mind, found the answer in another post on here.

FOP2 provides scroll bars, as well as the display will "stretch" to fit whatever size your browser window is.

jasona.work started the conversation Question on FOP2 display.

Currently, we are looking at using FOP2, and are trying out the free version. One of the issues we have with FOP, is that many of our extensions won't fit on the display. We currently have about 56 extensions.

My question is, how does FOP2 handle it when there are more extensions than available space to display? Do you get a scroll bar, or will we need to mess around with setting up multiple contexts to view things in? The odds are, long run, we will likely still set up contexts, after all, the manager of Administration won't care about how many support staff are on the phone. But, initially, we'd like to just show all extensions.

    Thank you
