Ongoing issue with a FreePBX 6.12.65-24, Asterisk 11, FOP2 2.29 system where after use completes, conferences show as in-use. Service fop2 restart clears it, but it happens again the next time the conference is used.
Bria and iSymphony are NOT installed.
Self-solved: Restarted the FOP2 service and the ghost-call cleared and it seems to be adding a removing calls from the conference correctly now.
We have a conference that we setup and tested with the leader/admin PIN. That initial call was hung up (two weeks ago) but the conference still shows that it has a participant in FOP2. I called in and tried to access the conference with a participant PIN but it says the leader is not yet in the conference, so it seems like FreePBX knows that the call FOP2 shows is in it really is not. How can we clear this from FOP2?
Right. What we want to do is initiate a new call to the "External Transfer" entry from FOP2, not transfer a call. This is much faster than manually keying the persons cell in, picking it from the directory, etc.
What we've done for now is setup a group of Custom Extensions in FreePBX that, when called, make an outbound call to that person's cell. So we have two buttons for every person in FOP2 right now- one for their internal phone and one for their cell phone. This adds clutter to the screen. What we'd like is a button that is for "Call External".
Is there a way that I'm missing to initiate a call to the "external transfer" entry for a user in FOP2? We have a location where it's common to call people's mobile numbers and I can't find a way to do this from FOP2 without building out custom extensions for everyone.
Also, on semi-related note, is 2.29 ready for use now? We have some issues that I think are related to Asterisk 11 and we can't switch to 13 until we switch to FOP2 2.29.
Perfect. Thank you Nicolas!
That's what I thought. But in my testing the groups appeared to function to limit which extensions are shown, but not group them; like permission groups, not organizational groups.
I setup three groups, each with a small subset of buttons. The user to which I assigned these group saw ONLY the extensions in those groups, and all appeared in the "Extensions" section of the UI.
I have a client with about 40 extensions asking if there is a way to organize them into groups, i.e. Sales, Service, Rooms, etc.
So instead of all the extensions appearing in the Extensions section of the FOP2 UI, they'd appear in separate sections (like Trunks, Conferences, Parks, etc. do now).
I thought I might be able to do this using the existing Groups, but it doesn't work that way.
Thank you. Will that alter the behavior of the regular supervised and blind buttons in FOP2?
