FOP2 2.26 Very Slow To Load

  1. 11 years ago

Hello, I've been having an issue with FOP2 at two locations and I was wondering if anyone had any ideas. I've installed it successfully at about 15? locations on PBX In A Flash systems. However, at these two locations it loads very slow initially. Once it loads, everything works fine.

    PBX In A Flash
    FreePBX 2.9.x
    Asterisk 1.8.x
    Fail2ban is disabled
    CPU/RAM/Network usage is very low

After browsing to the PIAF interface, click on Flash Operator Panel and the standard FOP2 login prompt loads up quick. After putting in the user name and password, it spins for up to 15 minutes (Was the longest I noticed). Finally, it loads and everything works great. If you close the browser and try again, you'll be waiting a long time to login. This happens regardless of browser. I've tried Internet Explorer 8/9/10, Firefox and Google Chrome.

Each of these locations has about 40~ extensions on the PBX. Maybe about 10 have FOP2 open. While FOP2 has this problem, no other part of the PIAF web interface, openfire, webmin, is slow at all. I've been trying to find out what it could be but I'm not sure what else I can check. I looked all over these forums and haven't found anything similar. Any help would be appreciated!

You did not find any similar situations as it is not something normal at all. I would try myself by disabling (or enabling) websockets in /var/www/html/fop2/js/presence.js , and see if that makes any difference. Then you will want to open the chrome javascript console and look there what is going on when the delay occurs.

  3. I have made the above change and it now logs in straight away.

It does not however update the buttons based of their usage. Ie I call someone they pickup. It still shows both lines as available.

    Any help would be great.

    Cheers,

    /usr/local/fop2/fop2_server --test

Did you configure the manager credentials correctly?

  5. This is all now working correctly.

    Cheers,

  6. That appears to have fixed it, thanks. In the latest version of Google Chrome or Internet Explorer it works great now, logs in near instantly. In Firefox, it spins and the login prompt doesn't come up but I'm wondering if it's just Firefox on this one machine. So, I'll try some other machines and see how it goes. Overall, it does appear to be fixed now though. Thanks!
