Planning a new installation and was wondering if the chat feature will work between FOP2 installs on multiple servers as I would like to have FOP2 installed in each location and have the users able to chat between locations.

It should work, as the chat function is implemented on the fop2_server itself. But your users must login to the same fop2 server.
