fop2-2.23-centos5-i386.gz won't install

  1. 13 years ago

I am kinda new to Linux. I have AsteriskNow installation and FOP1 works well. I am intersted in purchasing FOP2, but, I cannot get it to install. I feel I am missing something in the directions on the web site.

After I tar the file, the 'make install' command fails. So I am wondering what I am missing?

    Thanks

    Hi,

Can you post the exact error you get when you type "make install"?

  3. I just realized that the tar may not have worked correctly, but I am not sure. I have included the tar output, and also the results of the make install command below the tar output

    ********
    [root@Asterisk1 download]# tar zxvf fop2-2.23-centos5-i386.gz
    fop2/
    fop2/init/
    fop2/init/sysconfig.fop2
    fop2/init/fop2.redhat
    fop2/init/default.fop2
    fop2/init/fop2.debian
    fop2/README
    fop2/html/
    fop2/html/.htaccess
    fop2/html/phonetabs.php
    fop2/html/niftyplayer.swf
    fop2/html/config.php
    tar: Skipping to next header
tar: Archive contains obsolescent base-64 headers

gzip: stdin: invalid compressed data--format violated
    tar: Child returned status 1
tar: Error exit delayed from previous errors

    ********

    [root@Asterisk1 fop2]# make install

Download the file again and try once more time, it seems your file is corrupted.

    Best regards,

  6. I still cannot logon on, I am getting a large yellow circle with an ! in it. The text says
