Help with trunk

  1. 10 years ago

Hi I have installed and setup fop2. Everyhting seems to work ok except trunks.
I have 2 sip trunks setup and they both show in fop2.
The trunks are named. sip/xxxxxxx and sip/yyyyyyy.
I have inbound routes setup that is a call comes in on sip/xxxxxx it calss ext 201 and 202. If a call comes in on sip/yyyyyyy it calls etx 203 and 204. This works correctly and the correct extensions ring. The fop panel however shows all calls coming in on sip/xxxxxxx.
We have two companies setup and we want want the receptionist to answer the calls that come in with a different company name. I thought that by installing the fop panel she would know that if a call comes in on trunk sip/xxxxxxx she can answer it and say hello this is company A. If a call comes in on trunk sip/yyyyyyy she can answer it and say hello this is company B.

This is not possible now as all calls show that they are coming in on trunk sip/xxxxxxx.
    Please help.

    Regards,
    Kieran.

Your issue might not be about fop2 but most probably your sip configuration. Do the test, call to one of your trunks, then run

asterisk -rx "core show channels concise"

Take not on the channel names.

Then hangup that call and dial the other trunk/inbound route, and check channel names again:

asterisk -rx "core show channels concise"

How do the channel names look like? Many times, incoming sip peer matching is not well resolved and the device name won't be the one you expect to be. Maybe you are having that issue.
