Panel buttons not working

    Asterisk 11.15
    Fop2 Version 2.28
    Endpoints are cisco 7941's running SIP.

    I cannot get any buttons such as call pickup to work. AMI is properly configured.

    How do you use them? Did you try *every* action button? How? Can you describe?

  3. I use the action buttons by placing a call to my main DID then I wait for the ring. Once the incoming call is ringing I attempt to 'pickup' the call by clicking on the pickup action. I've made sure at this point I am logged in with the correct endpoint/SIP user. I'll debug a little more when on site but it just seems like there is not much else to try.

    Hi,

    First of all lets clarify some things: FOP2 is not a phone. It also does not manage or control your phone.

    As for the pickup action, it works just like dialing *8 from your own phone. Suppose you log with extension 100, then you see a call to 105 that is RINGING (not active but ringing). Asuming both 100 and 105 are in the same pickup group (set up by asterisk configration, not in fop2), you can click on the 105 button, it will be highlighted in blue, your own phone (100) must be free, then click the pickup action button.

    At that point, the call will be diverted to 100, so extension 100 will ring instead of 105, where you can *answer* the call with your phone (not with fop2).

    You said that *any* action buttons work. Did you try other actions besides pickup? Did you try to dial al extension? Did you try to hang up a call?

  5. Yes, that is also my understanding of FOP2. Thank you for you input it is greatly appreciated. I'm going to hold off on adding any new information until I am in front of the system onsite. Thanks again.
