Thanks for working this issue to a usable solution . I know that this is a better solution than having cron reload fop2 at 3:00 evey night. grin
Thanks again
Stegfeld,
You might take a look at:
http://forum.fop2.com/3713-set-status-other-sign-out-in-user-unreachable
sounds very similar to your issue.
Thanks for your quick response. This explains quite a bit of the issues that are happening at this install. Any quick hack that could be done to expose the fop2 reload via the GUI that you can think of off the top of your head ?
Thanks
New 2.28 install, PiaF w/ freepbx 2.11 , noticed a few of the changes to the admin page but now have traced the main issue.
When a change is made in the admin page , user password for example , the change is not 'implemented' until the fop2 service is restarted. I noticed that the system had the manager version 1.0 , I upgraded to the latest tar ball , now the manager is showing 1.0.1 but still have the same symptom. I have enabled fop2 debug and do not see any errors that jump out at me right away.
any suggestions?
Thanks,
Mike
Nicholas,
I was scratching my head on this as it seems that the voicemail and FOP2 passwords were synced in the past, possibly before the new administration tool? Is this a feature that will be on the road map or possible could be implemented as a plugin? Seems to be adding a huge admin time waste to larger implementations.
Thanks again,
Mike
Nicholas, First off thanks for the ongoing improvements that you make to FOP2.
I have the new 2.28 version installed on two very recent PiaF boxes and am having the same symptom on both. The Majority of the Users are generated with the extension as a password, granted this is because our default installs are built that way, but the password in FOP2 is not updated when the voicemail password is changed by the user. I have poked around a bit and noticed that if I go to a user in FOP2 manager, remove the asterisks and leave the password blank it seems to read the vm password then but if the user changes their password in VM the FOP2 remains unchanged.
Do you have any hints for me to look at or is this the normal behavior?
Thanks,
mike
Update: (in case anyhas simular issues)
I removed
/tmp/root-par/cache-xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
restarted the fop2 server and all came back up as expected. I assume that the tmp directory was corrupted due to the power fail.
Thanks again for all you do.
Nicolás,
I have a 2.26 install that has been in and working for well over a year. It has wokred well with an occational need for the server to be restarted. After an extended power outage we are not able to restart the FOP2 server. When starting with a -X 7 i get the foloowing:
./fop2_server --test
Flash Operator Panel 2 - Valid License (7)
install_driver(SQLite) failed: Tie/Hash.pm did not return a true value at /loader/0x8e86e5c/DBD/SQLite.pm line 547.
Compilation failed in require at (eval 28) line 3.
at script/fop2_server.pl line 6921
I have poked around and the perl install seems to be working. Any ideas on what might be causing this? I have attemted to revoke the license to reinstall but get the simular message as above:
License Revoke
--------------
Enter your serial code: xXxXxXxXxXxX
URI/http.pm did not return a true value at (eval 27) line 3, <> line 1.
Any help would be appreciated.
My next attempt will be to get an upgrade license and reinstall from scratch but would rather know why this issue is occuring.
Thanks,
Mike
You were correct that I had not gotten fopAdmin updated on this particular box.
Thanks again for getting this feature implemented , I now have two company using the touch screen for recept. There sure is a lot of wow factor when suits walk by.
Nicolas,
I have been testing the new .21 release but have yet to find how to display the Ring Groups Is there something that I am missing?
Thanks,
